The Business Analyst will be a part of a larger software development team working on a project for an internationally-focused government agency. The project itself utilizes a unique combination of technologies and methods, and will provide a wealth of opportunity and experience for the right candidate.
Elicit and elaborate business and system requirements.
Respond to user requests and coordinate change requests with the development team.
Assist with quality assurance, and testing of a grants management system.
Write and maintain user guides and technical documentation.
Identify areas and potential projects where process redesign and improvement can make a significant impact.
Identify and communicate potential risks and issues that would have substantial impact on the project.
Create and provide status reports on assigned projects and/or activities to the project manager and federal client.
Maintain project documentation, version tracking, etc., using software similar to SharePoint.
Academic or professional experience with software development and the software development lifecycle.
Academic or professional experience with configuration management.
Experience with leading User Acceptance Testing.
Familiarity with collaboration tools such as SharePoint or Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
Experience with using issue-tracking systems, such as JIRA.
Experience with creating, leading, and/or participating in informational and persuasive presentations for senior and executive-level government clients.
